La pioppicoltura si inserisce anche all&#8217;interno degli obiettivi ambientali europei, poich\u00e9 rappresenta una coltura sostenibile in grado di contrastare il dissesto idrogeologico, migliorare la stabilit\u00e0 dei suoli e favorire la decarbonizzazione grazie alla rapida crescita del pioppo. Nella pianura della Regione FVG sono presenti circa 4.500 ettari di pioppeti, in parte consistente certificati per la gestione sostenibile (PEFC, FSC), cofinanziati con\u00a0 fondi dell&#8217;Unione Attraverso i bandi attivati negli anni 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 e 2023, sono stati realizzati mediamente 524 ettari di nuovi impianti all\u2019anno. Tutte le superfici finanziate nell\u2019ambito del PSR 2014-2022 risultano certificate PEFC o FSC, a garanzia della gestione sostenibile delle piantagioni.<\/p><p>La superficie complessiva stimata a pioppeto ammonta attualmente a 4.563 ettari, includendo anche le superfici realizzate con le precedenti programmazioni di sviluppo rurale. Nel periodo 2016-2023, attraverso il PSR, sono stati erogati complessivamente 10.640.755 \u20ac a fronte di 791 domande di sostegno, per un totale di 1.265.564 pioppelle messe a dimora. Con la nuova programmazione CSR 2023-2027 la Regione ha attivato due bandi sulle misure SRD05 e SRD10, che hanno registrato 105 domande di sostegno per una superficie complessiva di circa 416 ettari.<\/p><p>Tra il 2023 e il 2024 si sono verificati due eventi meteorologici di particolare intensit\u00e0 che hanno causato gravi danni a numerosi impianti di pioppicoltura, con la distruzione di
